Samantha Kuo is a third-year undergraduate student at University of Virginia in the College of Arts and Science. She is majoring in Economics and Media Studies with a minor in Architecture. Originally from Hong Kong, she began her studies in the United States at the age of 13, where she attended Deerfield Academy for high school. She was an art editor of Albany Road, Deerfield’s literary publication. She continued her studies at University of Virginia, where she also works as a managing director at Radical, a for-profit student-run creative agency based in Charlottesville. During her second-year, she founded the Scratch Zine, a semi-annual undergraduate arts publication with the focus on starting a conversation on arts among the community, as well as showcasing the amount of diverse talent at the University. She aspires to work in advertising, specifically strategic planning.
